WHEREASa the United States Department of La.bor approved a grant to the
City of Saint 'Paul for a second year, providing $598,495 for the City's
participation in �ob training and support services programs for the City's
homeless, and '
WHEREAS, this program will provide case managed comprehensive services
for over 250 eligible participants during the period October 1, 1989 through
September 30, 1990; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 1007.01 of the City Charter,
does certify �hat there are available for appropriation revenues in excess of
those estimated in the 1990 budget, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that upon recommendation of the Mayor, the Council of the City
of Saint Paul does hereby approve the City's participation in the Department
of Labor/Stew�rt B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Demonstration Program, and be
it
FURTHER 'RESOLVED, that upon receipt of the fully executed contract, the
Council will be provided with a detailed report on this program; and be it
FINALLYIRESOLVED, that the 1990 Special Funds budget be amended as
identified bel�ow:

Eity of Saint P�ul This population is in need of self-sufficiency and other support
services to stabil ze their lives.
