RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council consents to and
approves of the appointments, made by the Mayor, of Councilmembers
Paula Maccabee and David Thune to serve as representatives on the
Affirmative Action Advisory Committee.
Councilmember Maccabee fills the vacancy and unexpired two-year
term created by the resignation of Councilmember Janice Rettman.
Councilmember Thune fills the vacancy and unexpired two-year term
created by the resignation of Councilmember William Wilson.
These terms shall expire December 31, 1990.

"5. Committee functions in particular.
(4) Neighborhood services. The council committee on neigh-
borhood services shall oversee policy development and
review and recommend legislation in these areas : housing,
�olice, fire , and parks and recreation. In addition,
the committee may respond to administrative proposals
that affect these issues .
(5) Human services , regulated industries, and rules and
policy. The council committee on human services shall
oversee policy development and review and recommend
legislation in these areas : libraries , issues involv-
ing children and families , rules and policies , and
regulated industries. In addition, the committee may
respond to administrative proposals that affect these
issues.
(6) Intergovernmental relations. The council committee
on intergovernmental relations shall oversee policy
development and review and recommend legislation in
these areas : state and federal legislation, the
relationship of units of government -- city, county,
metropolitan council , state and federal . In addition,
the committee may respond to administrative proposals
that affect these issues. "
