98-691Council File # $ � Gq' ORlG1NAL Presented Referred To GreenSheet# �.QC�e.3 ON , MINNESOTA ' � Committee Date 1 WHEREAS, the Como Zoologcal Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and enhancement 2 of Como Zoo, is holding a golfing tournament benefit on Monday, August 10, 1998; and 3 WFIEREAS, several concessionaires and food vendors have generously offered to assist in this event to further its 4 success; and 5 WHEREAS, the Society has graciously extended invitations to the tournament to elected City officials and City 6 staff; 7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby accepts the 8 thoughtful invitations to the event and appropriates them to the usage of City officials and staff; and 9 FURTHER RESOLVED, the Council hereby declazes a public purpose in the acceptance of invitations in 10 acknowledgment of the good work of the Society in furthering the continued usage and success of the Como Zoo; 11 and 12 FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Council expresses its thanks and appreciation to the Society and supporting 13 vendors and concessionaires for the staging of this worthwhile public promotion and benefit.
